Alicia believes proper insurance is possible for all freelancers. The world of insurance can’t keep up with freelancers’ flexibility and agility. It struggles to meet the demands of the new ways of work, with a growing protection gap as a result. As we speak, there is an ever growing population of freelancers working on the biggest job of their lives, under- or even uninsured. Alicia wants to solve that problem. That’s why we combine solid insurance experience and innovative technology to create fit-for-purpose insurance products, directly embedded into the platforms that freelancers use.

As the Human Resources & Recruitment Lead you will play a key role to expand our team, making sure all the employees are happy and HR runs like clockwork. You're the person that get's HR stuff done, people can come to for advice and a listening ear. When the HR team grows, you will be the one to lead it. You are results oriented and like to work with both short term and long term goals. You are used to scale-up dynamic. You like to apply new people and leadership insights to keep and increase a high performing culture. Most likely you currently work for a mid-sized to large company, but are looking for a more innovative environment with space to execute your own vision on HR and leadership. 

Job requirements

What you will be doing.

  • You will set up the performance framework.
  • You will be monitoring the company wellbeing.
  • You will set up a project to continuously improve the employee engagement.
  • You will set up and implement recruitment best practices.
  • You will expand the team by active sourcing, posting and writing online vacancies, speaking to candidates and planning in interviews.
  • You will own and improve our HR manual.
  • You initially will ensure HR Admin is pristine and in order

What you have.

  • You have 4-7 years experience in HR.
  • You have a strategic mindset and can spot impediments from miles away.
  • You have a hands-on attitude, you like things to get done.
  • You have the ability to make fast decisions, you don't get stuck on the fine print.
  • You have recruitment experience in digital and tech roles and you're excited about getting results.
  • You are tactful, socially empathetic and a good listener. By listening and asking questions you can perfectly decide the team's needs.
  • You have worked with HR software, ATS systems and sourcing tools like LinkedIn.
  • The ability to write and speak fluently in Dutch and English.
