Alicia believes proper insurance is possible for all freelancers. The world of insurance can’t keep up with freelancers’ flexibility and agility. It struggles to meet the demands of the new ways of work, with a growing protection gap as a result. As we speak, there is an ever growing population of freelancers working on the biggest job of their lives, under- or even uninsured. Alicia wants to solve that problem. That’s why we combine solid insurance experience and innovative technology to create fit-for-purpose insurance products, directly embedded into the platforms that freelancers use.


To achieve our goals the Product Manager will play a key role within our organization. With the experience in the insurance industry  the Product Manager will able to create (digital) insurance products or services from the ground up. New propositions will be based on quantitative and qualitative data, with which Alicia can meet the wishes of freelancers and business partners. The Product Manager will monitor and review the lifecycle of a proposition methodically. To do so you will regulary work with the Partner Manager, manager MGA and other (internal) stakeholders. 

Job requirements

What you will be doing.

  • You will build new or rebuild existing insurance products or services that satisfy the needs (protection gaps) of our distribution partners and their clients.
  • You will develop our products as simple as they can be, in close co-operation with our risk carriers and ensure all products comply with our MGA licenses.
  • You will be in close contact with our Customer Success Center to understand digital exceptions and will translate these into product improvements.
  • You will act as the voice of our product within our organization, e.g. you will guard the quality of our product in the backlog prioritization meetings.
  • Your commercial qualities enable you to identify opportunities in the market. 
  • You will monitor and review methodically the lifestyle of a proposition.


What you have.

  • You have the necessary WFT licenses to work with casual, property and/or income types of products (must). 
  • You have 3-5 years of experience working in accepting or building insurances for the casualty, property or income business market.
  • You are fluent in both Dutch and English and can provide crystal clear product and customer information.
  • You possess a higher education degree (HBO/WO).
  • You are a quick learner.
  • You are able to easily make decisions on your own.
  • You are able to convey your ideas in a clear and structured manner and translate them to product specifications.
