Alicia makes insurance for freelancers accessible, at any time. We do this by creating tailor-made simple insurance products from the ground-up. We sell those through digital platforms that the ever growing population of freelancers use to find work, manage their finances and more. Our aim is to help these platforms become strong brands and provide freelancers a hassle-free way of getting insured.


The Sales Development Representative plays a crucial role in the sales process: data-driven analysis which online platforms to target? Spearfishing instead of fishing with a net. To achieve this, SDRs will research potential prospects before passing on leads that match designated criteria as sales-qualified leads (SQLs) to a Sales Manager.


Job requirements

What you will be doing.

  • You are responsible for identifying potential customers within one of our 'verticals'.
  • You are working closely with the Sales Manager(s) to develop acquisition lists (within our verticals), call strategies and messaging.
  • Qualify and set expectations for initial meetings for our sales team.
  • Together with our Sales Manager(s) and Marketeer(s) you will determine how your activities will connect to our online strategy.
  • You are responsible for generating business opportunities through 'prospecting', research and contacting both warm and cold leads.
  • You will determine and manage expectations for the first meeting with your Sales Manager(s).
  • You will research and build new and existing accounts (by adding contacts, regularly sending out e-mails, coordinating strategic research meetings).

What you have.

  • You have experience in an SDR or similar role within a SaaS environment.
  • Previous experience in Sales, New business development, Recruitment, etc.
  • You are at your best in a fast-growing, rapidly changing environment.
  • You are extremely flexible and possess the ability to effectively multitask, set priorities and manage your time.
  • You have worked with various lead-generating tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn, etc.
  • You possess excellent communication skills in 'outbound calling' and e-mails.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English or German
